This is a recording of an interest meeting for students wanting to learn more about the SUNY Empire State Student Veteran and Military Club (SVMC). We are a chapter of Student Veterans of America (SVA) and we're dedicated to fostering a strong sense of community among veteran and military-affiliated students. Through virtual and in-person opportunities, the club provides a welcoming space for students to connect, socialize, network, and learn from one another during monthly meetings and special events.
In addition to building meaningful connections, SVMC empowers members to advocate for the interests of veteran and military students and engage with student veterans at colleges and universities across the country. Members also have opportunities to connect with military-affiliated organizations throughout the university and local communities. The club's programs and activities are supported through funding provided by the SUNY Empire Student Activity Fee.
As a chapter of Student Veterans of America, SVMC members are eligible to participate in a variety of SVA-sponsored programs and events throughout the year. These opportunities include the Annual National Conference (NatCon), Regional Conferences, Washington Week, and the Leadership Institute. These experiences provide valuable opportunities for professional development, leadership growth, networking, and advocacy. Visit the
