We recently hosted an Ask5 conversation with Amy Amoroso, Director of the McNulty Veteran Business Center, exploring how veterans, service members, and military spouses can turn their military experience into entrepreneurial success. The discussion highlighted the Center’s mission and the wide range of support it offers, with a special focus on the Boots to Business program, a free U.S. Small Business Administration course that introduces participants to business ownership and available resources. Our guest shared how the program helps break down common barriers—like funding concerns or lack of business training—by equipping participants with the tools and confidence to take their first steps. We also learned about the mentorship and long-term community of support that extend beyond the course, ensuring entrepreneurs don’t have to navigate their journey alone. The session wrapped with an inspiring success story of a participant who turned an idea into a thriving business—showing what’s possible when passion meets opportunity.
