Bio: Sam Vega is the Employment Manager at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a role he has held for the past 12 years. He brings more than 18 years of experience in workforce development, with a strong background in employer engagement, talent pipelines, and career advancement initiatives.Prior to transitioning into workforce development, Sam built his career in the advertising industry, working at agencies in New York and Miami in positions including Creative Services Manager, Account Services professional, and Media Buyer.
Sam began his workforce development career in 2008 at Goodwill Industries, serving as a Career Coach on a New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS) contract. He later advanced to roles as an Account Manager at SEEDCO and Recruiting Manager at FEGS Back to Work, where he led employer partnerships and recruitment strategies supporting job seekers across multiple sectors.
