Deneen Palmateer ’15, Associate Executive Director of Communications, Development, and Community Engagement at Living Resources was a recent guest on SUNY Empire's Ask5 segment. Deneen shared how these three areas intersect to advance an organization’s mission and why building authentic connections with stakeholders is essential to creating impact.
She offered valuable insights into the ways philanthropy and advocacy work hand-in-hand to inspire action and drive meaningful change. Deneen also spoke about the importance of giving voice to community needs and how individuals can contribute beyond financial support. For those interested in community-focused careers—or simply in making a difference—her advice on getting involved through work, volunteering, or advocacy was especially inspiring.
