Bio: Robert Brennan currently serves as the site lead for the Fab 8 Central Training and Development Team at GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY, where he supports all technical training and professional development initiatives. He joined the Manufacturing Excellence Team in 2022, focusing on technical training and manufacturing equipment and maintenance management for Fab 8 Manufacturing Engineering.
Robert originally joined GlobalFoundries in 2017 as a Member of Technical Staff in Equipment Engineering, supporting the Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) Engineering Team within the Single Wafer Diffusion process module.
Prior to GlobalFoundries, Robert worked at Tokyo Electron America as Engineer-in-Charge and Project Manager for the Single Wafer Deposition department. There, he led the installation, maintenance, modification, and repair of advanced engineering systems, including reactive ion etching and atomic layer deposition.
Robert began his career in the U.S. Navy Submarine Force as a nuclear reactor operator. He concluded his military service as a Quality Assurance Supervisor for both the Naval Submarine Support Facility and General Dynamics Electric Boat, contributing across multiple ship classes and propulsion systems.
He is highly experienced in structured problem solving and is frequently engaged in delivering technical training and coaching teams through complex equipment troubleshooting."
