The Library and Learning Experience Design teams at the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) partnered to develop a self-paced course where faculty, staff, and students learn how to make universally designed and accessible content. The course has two goals: to amplify awareness of the importance of creating accessible content and to support the development of these skills. In this session, we will outline our process of bringing together our shared departmental expertise to develop a resource that simultaneously meets the needs of various community stakeholders. Topics include the development of content, assessing the effectiveness of the course, establishing iterative course updates, and outreach and promotion efforts.
