Mr. David Mack- Hardiman
Director of the Museum of disABILITY History
David Mack- Hardiman has advocated for people who have disabilities during his forty year career in Human Services. He leads the Museum of disABILITY History, the only facility of its kind dedicated exclusively to advancing the understanding, acceptance and independence of people who have disabilities. He is a published author of books and training programs, and received an Award of Merit from the Museum Association of New York for his inclusion of people who have disabilities in the exhibit, In Celebration of Down Syndrome. An alumnus of Empire State College, he also accepted a Community Leader Award from the National Federation for Just Communities. This award was presented for leadership in the restoration of abandoned institutional cemeteries. This work also received a proclamation from the Niagara County Legislature.
